Alabama & Georgia Ranked Among The Friendliest States
Big Travel 7 released its list of the friendliest states in the United States. Both Alabama and Georgia were ranked high on the list. According to the list residents in both Alabama and Georgia still, know how to show out of towners a little southern hospitality.
Alabama was ranked 21st on the list of friendliest states falling just after South Dakota and before Missouri. The list noted that visitors to Alabama reported that they found in people in Alabama were friendly as long as you were friendly as well. Those surveyed by Big Travel 7 noted that in Alabama it was not uncommon to see someone hold the door for you or carry groceries to your vehicle.
Georgia was ranked slightly higher than Alabama at number 16. Georgia fell right behind Idaho and before New Mexico. Big 7 Travel noted that despite Georgia's large population the state has a unique mixture of urban and rural centers, but overall people were friendly across the state including in urban centers of the state.
The rankings were formulated by Big 7 Travel and were based on surveys of 1.5 million people who make up the social audience of Big 7 Travel. Minnesota was ranked as the friendliest state in the United States followed by Tennesee, South Carolina, Texas, and Wyoming. New York earned the title of the lease friendly state falling behind Arkansas, Deleware, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
