Free COVID-19 Testing At The Columbus Civic Center Saturday

COLUMBUS, GA: The Georgia Department of Public Health has announced that it will offer Free COVID-19 testing to Georgia residents at the Columbus Civic Center on Saturday.

According to information released by the agency free COVID-19 testing will be offered in the parking lot of the Columbus Civic Center on Saturday, May 16, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The testing is open to Georgia residents only. Those who wish to get tested will remain in their vehicles for the event. The Georgia Department of Public Health is not requiring residents to have any symptoms or a referral to get tested.

In addition to the testing at the Civic Center on Saturday, there is also ongoing testing at the Columbus Health Department located at 2100 Comer Avenue. The testing at that location is offered Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As of Thursday evening, Muscogee County had reported a total of 411 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 15 deaths. Officials continue to urge residents to continue their social distancing practices and other safety measures.
