Phenix City Del Taco Announces Opening Date

PHENIX CITY, AL: Taco Lovers Rejoice, another new dining option in Phenix City's rapidly developing dining options has announced an opening date on one of the busiest roadways in Phenix City.

In February 2019, it was announced that a new Del Taco would be constructed at 1212 East U.S. 280 Bypass in Phenix City. The location was formerly a Shoney's restaurant that closed its doors and has sat vacant for several years with only a few small businesses springing up in the location for brief periods.

The 2,400-square-foot Del Taco was built from the ground up and is owned by Clay Gullatt. A local entrepreneur who also has a Del Taco located on Hamilton Road in Columbus, Ga. The Columbus location opened in 2014.

The new Phenix City Del Taco is now set to open on November 6, 2019. The fast-food south of the border restaurant becomes the first location in East Alabama.

The Phenix City Del Taco is located on the U.S. Highway 280 near Sportsman Drive in the former Shoney's building.
